My Husband

The Family Man

David and I back in the day...a week before we got married

David and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this past weekend and I think five years is a great time for reflection.

I don't want to be someone who goes on and on about how wonderful my life is (because I have my challenges I swear), but in this instance I feel I definitely need to pay tribute to my most wonderful, adoring and talented husband. I cannot imagine how I got so lucky to be the girl who ended up with David, but I did. I know he is super goofy and a lot of people joke about feeling sorry for me because he sometimes goes a little over the line…but I love it. I am always laughing and for whatever reason I find his odd sense of humor to be simply hilarious.

Not only is he super funny and entertaining, I trust him totally and completely. When you use the word trust usually you think about faithfulness, but it goes so much farther. David is the kind of man I can trust with every emotion and thought…even the craziest ones. He is supportive of me in everything and even more he is always kind. The past nine months David has been my rock (along with my Savior, Jesus Christ). I cannot imagine having a more supportive husband. He goes above and beyond and always makes me feel like my feelings are the most important to him. He respects my opinion and always makes me feel smart, beautiful and like the best mother around.

I love you David and think you are one of God's finest! I pray for your ministry and the plans God has for our lives. You are the best husband and father and I thank God everyday for the blessing of being your wife. I love you!

  1. What I read here is an account of a Godly marriage. When a husband and wife both lift up each other and put God in the middle, you have a prescription for success. I love you both and respect your faithfulness to each other. I believe God has placed you both in young peoples lives as a role model of what a Godly marriage is supposed to be, you see very little of that in the media and a lot of the other places young people look today.
