Now that Jude is two weeks old, and I am through with the daily crying spells, I wanted to post a little update. Jude is now 8 pounds and 15 ounces (as of his two week appointment). The doctor said he is a very healthy little boy.
The labor and delivery of Jude was amazing. Mainly because I didn't feel anything. Seriously. They now can put in the epidurals right when you come to the hospital and then give you the medication when you are ready...so when the pain really starts in you just get the medicine injected and the rest is already done. So, needless to say, I opted for that and it was great. I got the pitocin and 5 hours and 4 pushes later was holding my little boy. It was great. I feel a little guilty...aren't I supposed to have some pain? Oh well....
We were in the hospital a little over 24 hours and we got to come home for christmas...that was great. Annabel had a blast and got way too much stuff. I think she got a little spoiled because we were worried about how she would react to Jude...but she has been great. Right now she is patting his head while watching Imagination Movers. She is very encouraging and worries when he gets too upset.
Breat feeding...we won't talk about that too much. He is doing great...I am ready for my body to feel a little more normal, but I know it will get easier.
Well, here are a few pics of the last few weeks.
Happy New Year to Everyone!
